Move {Come Back to Center Day4/5}

This is the fourth day of our 5 Day Instagram Challenge! If you haven’t already, you can join the challenge by following us on Instagram or by joining the Sweet Water Sisterhood Facebook group.

Today your challenge is to MOVE!

This means dancing, walking, stretching, running, riding your bike – something that will get your body moving and reconnect you to your physical self. If you have an exercise you do every day, that doesn’t count. 😉 I want you to try something new or something you rarely do. If you don’t exercise much, then start small with something that sounds energizing to you. I recommend 10-30 minutes of moving/exercising today.

Dr. Kelly Brogan calls exercise “nature’s Prozac.” Exercise has beneficial effects on mood, anxiety levels, perceived stress, and symptoms of depression (read more here). Need more reasons to convince you? Check out these 31 reasons to exercise!  It’s amazing and encouraging to find out that such a simple change can have a profound effect on your life.

Note: If you are a person who feels fatigued or wiped out after exercise, then you may be experiencing dysfunction/imbalance in the HPA Axis (Adrenal, Pituitary, & Hypothalamus) – what used to be called Adrenal Fatigue. In this case, choose exercises like walking, yoga, stretching, or tabata that do not tax the adrenal glands as much.

Need some more inspiration to decide on how you’ll MOVE today? We have lots of ideas & even follow-along videos on our Pinterest page.
